The Loxx miniature railway is one of our favourite things in Berlin. The attention to detail and sense of humour are amazing – it features everything inside the Ringbahn and then some, including vehicles that wait at the functional traffic lights, naked sunbathers, a drunk Santa and a Tina Turner concert. Transylvanian weekend: Vulcan - Brasov County

2 comments:
From the moment we have left Bucharest we realized that we are going to take interesting and contrasting photos because of the undecided weather.
We've started positive our travel and also very relaxed about the idea to take a hike into Piatra Mare mountains because in any condition the weather would had changed we could re orientate to any kind of trip into Brasov County.

As the summits of the mountains mentioned above where into bad weather conditions we have left through the beautiful transylvanian villages nearby Brasov and Rasnov.
Vulcan village seemed to be our best option under the sky and we share below some of the greatest moments of this 2-day trip.

Vulcan (German: Wolkendorf) is a commune in Braşov County in the centre of Romania, 16 km west of the county capital Braşov. It is composed of two villages, Colonia 1 Mai and Vulcan. It also included Holbav village until 2004, when it was split off to form a separate commune. Since its founding around the year 1377 it was one of the most important villages in the Burzenland area, where there was a strong Transylvanian Saxon community. (Wiki)
